As part of the Helping Shelters program, the Dogs Who Love Foundation purchases food for shelters, including specialty dog food.
Now we need to buy food for dogs with allergies, low-fat and balanced foods.
Pictured is Beauty, one of three puppies in a litter, they were dropped off at the shelter where they had to fight infections all their puppyhood. Because of frequent illnesses and lots of antibiotics at such a young age, they developed Dental Enamel Hypoplasia, which is underdevelopment of tooth enamel due to metabolic disorders during their development.
Beauty and her brothers have no enamel on part of their teeth at all, which means that the teeth are not protected from external influences and are subject to more rapid deterioration. In order to slow down the process of tooth destruction they need a balanced diet.
This collection will provide 10 dogs from the shelter with healthy food for one month.
Let's help shelter dogs stay healthy!
