But he is still struggling with severe complications from the treatment.

Thanks to intensive rehabilitation courses and sheer willpower, Eric has learned to walk and talk again. But no amount of lessons or procedures helped restore normal vision - he needed an operation. To focus his eyes, the boy has to tilt his head, otherwise everything is double in his eyes. When walking, Eric lifts his head up to look ahead, and his gait becomes unsteady and unsteady. The constant tilting of his head hurts his posture and causes scoliosis.
