People without a home, documents, or registration often cannot get medical care, so they are forced to endure pain and sometimes even die on the streets from diseases that could have been treated and prevented.
The Charity Hospital Foundation has a "Mobile Clinic" project. Six days a week doctors, social workers and volunteers go out to the streets of St. Petersburg in a converted medical van and help people in distress: the homeless, the poor and the elderly. They bandage their wounds, give them glasses and medications, treat exacerbations of chronic diseases, vaccinate them and test them for socially significant infections. They also help them get their papers back, get them into a shelter, and even reclaim their own lost homes!
The project needed funds for bandages, medications, and tests for dangerous infections, as well as funds to pay the doctors and coordinators of the Mobile Clinic themselves.
Thank you to everyone who helped us! The supplies we bought allow us to bandage wounds, test for socially significant infections, inform people about their health status, and vaccinate people - which means protecting not only them, but society as a whole through immunization.
Thank you for your support!
Да облегчит вам Всевышний Господь.
