Piroplasmosis develops when an animal is bitten by an ixodid tick. The disease is severe and, if left untreated, can result in the death of the animal. Therefore, in order to prevent cases of infection and to live safely in a shelter outside the city, during the summer period, tick treatments are vital for animals.
