Liana was born with a dystrophic form of epidermolysis bullosa, a severe genetic disease that affects the skin. People with this diagnosis are called "butterflies", their skin is figuratively compared to the wing of a butterfly, for which any touch is fatal.

Daily dressings protect Liana like a second skin. They help to heal already formed wounds, prevent infections from developing in them, prevent the appearance of rough scars and the development of complications, such as fusion of the fingers and deformity of the joints. Ordinary bandages are not suitable for Liana, special ones are needed, designed for burn patients.
