Rasul is five years old. Rasul has been ill since birth. He has cerebral palsy, psychomotor retardation, fourth degree hearing loss, epilepsy.
The above diagnoses have led to a delay in cognitive development as well. Rasul can look at objects and toys around him, he grabs them and pulls them into his mouth. But there is no purposeful play with toys. The boy does not understand the adult's commands. In modern medicine, a complex treatment is used to correct the cognitive sphere. Medication, which is selected by a neurologist. And non-medication, which includes work with a psychologist, speech therapist or neuropsychologist.
Rasul has already undergone several rehabilitation courses, after which he started to partially understand spoken language. After sessions of therapeutic physical training, bobat and Vojta therapy, he is able to roll over independently, sit up, and can stand on his feet. At the age of two Rasul got a cochlear implant to improve his hearing.
Now Rasul is undergoing a regular rehabilitation course where he will be attended by specialists in Vota and bobat therapy.
