Inside the shelter, the cubs receive their first treatments for parasites, many of them only learn to eat independently and become familiar with the litter box and cleanliness. The immune system of tiger cubs is weak and their outdoor life is often cold and hungry; therefore, a good, balanced diet is the key to the little tigers' future health. Specialized feed is high in calories, high in protein for energetic tiger cubs, and has small pellets to make it easier for striped tigers to digest and assimilate the food.
