Report

“Thanks to the ORBI foundation and all the people who did not pass by and helped. When I contacted, I seemed to believe and there were also doubts, but does this happen, and thanks to everyone, I went through rehabilitation,” Olya writes to us after the rehabilitation.

Olya suffered a severe stroke, which greatly changed her life. She has overcome a lot, but she still has little feeling in her legs, she still has urological problems, and she is forced to use diapers and catheters. At home, she needs partial support from her husband and two daughters to wash, put on shoes, and dress in winter. Thanks to you, Olya has become stronger and more stable, she can now move up the stairs on her own and has become more confident in walking. Olya can move around the house almost without fear and now dreams of gaining this confidence in order to leave the house and walk down the street.

“I am happy and never tire of saying thank you to all the participants in the gathering for me. I was charged with only positive emotions and was satisfied with myself.”

About the campaign

Olga needs rehabilitation to cope with the consequences of a stroke

That day, after work, Olga had to help her 87-year-old grandmother with housework, but she experienced weakness in her legs and hurried home. Then it was time to pick up the youngest daughter from school. Each step was clearly difficult for her. She was barely able to bring her daughter home, and already there entirely given up her feet. The worst thing was that the youngest was nearby, who feared for her mother. Diagnosis: spinal blood flow disorders of an ischaemic nature. The hospital for two months, diapers, catheters, a wheelchair… Only then the fight for every step will begin. Her legs are still insensitive, but Olga can walk with support on a flat surface. She continues to have urological problems and is forced to use diapers and catheters. In everyday life, she also needs partial support, her husband and two daughters help to wash, put on shoes, and dress in winter. The rehabilitation will help Olga increase her balance strength to move better and help her adjust more to life with physical limitations. Olga does not fixates on her illness; she tries to maintain an active lifestyle so that her husband and children are happy next to her. Help Olga undergo this rehabilitation
