Ivan is 5 years old, the boy has unspecified encephalopathy.
Vanya's health problems began after one year. Ivan fell ill with laryngitis and ended up in the hospital. After discharge, parents started to notice changes in the baby’s behavior. Vanya became less sociable, ceased to respond to the name, was unable to say the words that he had already obtained before.
Now Ivan does not speak, does not understand the addressed speech. Almost all the time the child is too excited, his sleep is disturbed, he walks on tiptoes.
In January, deterioration began, there was an attack of epilepsy. EEG results showed increased epi-activity. An MRT showed changes in the brain.
To make an accurate diagnosis, doctors recommend a genetic analysis (whole exome sequencing). Unfortunately, this study is not covered by the Obligatory Medical Insurance.
