Dima was born without one ear.
For several years, his mother took her son to different doctors. But at the beginning of the noughties, neither regional nor Moscow hospitals were able to help little Dima - they said to wait a few years.
Since childhood, Dima had only one ear. But he often imagined how he would become a train driver and one day drive a huge fast train.
Recently, doctors gave Dima hope: now his disability can be corrected with surgery! Dima's ear canal will be opened and an implant will be placed, but the reconstruction of the auricle itself costs more than 1.5 million rubles. Without it, the hearing will not be complete.
The sum is absolutely unaffordable for Dima's family - in addition to him, there are two younger brothers, and now his mother is expecting a fourth child.
Dima is already 15 years old. If he doesn't have surgery now, he will have to give up his dream of his favorite profession and live with restrictions all his life: this defect is very dangerous - any runny nose or otitis media can lead to inflammation of the brain.
Dima continues to hope that someday he will be able to run a passenger train on the tracks.
