Artem Brzhakhov is a long-awaited child, he was born when the mother was 40 years old. The birth was premature and complicated, Artem was born weighing 2380 gr and 45 cm tall. At night, for reasons undefined, was the first lung laceration, in the afternoon the second. After that were 10 days of artificial medication coma, 25 days on artificial lung ventilation and almost 2 months on developmental care. As the result: severe diagnoses and endless struggle for decent life. Artem has cerebral palsy and multifocal pharmaco-resistant epilepsy, the first attack was at 6 months, when the first teeth were cutting. Artem and his mother changed many doctors and clinics trying to find out how to stop the attacks, tried many treatment schemes, but didn’t get rid of the attacks. In February, 2017 Artem was fitted with a neurostimulator for nervus vagus. Over time, it reduced the frequency and severity of attacks, but the problem still remains. After studying Artem’s medical investigations, doctors from the EPI clinic in Moscow decided to introduce a ketogenic diet, and also recommended an additional genetic study to find the cause of the epic activity and to help to make the right decision on its treatment. The first stage - the introduction of keto det was done in January, now it is needed to correct the keto diet and simultaneously to adjust the neurostimulator.
