6-year-old Timur Oshurov has a genetic disease that runs in the family. The boy’s grandfather, his uncle and himself are sick.
Timur learned to walk late and started to speak only at 4.5 years old. The boy’s speech is still clear only for parents. Epilepsy and spontaneous arms waving later added to all the troubles.
Timur used to be terribly scared of water. And going down the stairs or climbing a children's slide was a huge problem for the boy. His parents had to make a lot of efforts to drive epilepsy into remission and defeat all the fears. Now Timur even goes to the swimming pool.
But teaching the boy to speak well has not been possible so far. In order to disclose the nature of Timur’s disease and choose a treatment, doctors need to conduct an expensive examination – for Timur and his relative, who has the same disease in a milder form. This is the only chance to stop the birth curse. And this chance is in our hands!
