Muslim is 6 years old. In the year the first disappointing diagnosis was made - "Miotonic syndrome", at 5 years old - "autism". Muslim took his first steps at 2 years and 2 months, the speech never appeared. All this time, Muslim’s mother is constantly engaged in the development and rehabilitation of the boy.
Last year, Muslim successfully completed a habilitation course at the Sirius Sports and Correctional Camp, after which the child gained some understanding of conversations, Muslim began to focus on the objects surrounding him, to fulfill elementary requests (“give,” “put,” “bring "). A year later, we can safely say that all the skills acquired during the intensive course have been preserved, but further development has not occurred. Toilet and self-care skills are not formed, physical, mental and speech development does not correspond to age.
Mom notes that positive results in the development of the child were precisely after an intensive course of correction and habilitation. Currently, the Sirius Center specialists have developed an intervention program that includes correctional and developmental activities both in the center and at home.
