Vitalina has been in rehab

Vitalina is 1 year and 3 months old. The girl has a neurosurgical brain disease associated with excess fluid in the head, so a special device that pumps out excess fluid - a shunt - was installed in her head. For the first year of her life the girl was an orphan, so she lived in an orphanage. But the girl was lucky and has already had a family for several months. The foster parents understand the importance of intensive rehabilitation of a child with special abilities and therefore are actively engaged in her health. The girl was examined in a federal clinic, where doctors recommended her to undergo a course of rehabilitation in specialized centers to maximize the development of her motor and cognitive skills. So far, Vitalina is not sitting or walking on her own, due to the underlying disease and muscle weakness.
