Report

Roma was returned to the orphanage from his family twice. Repeated returns are a common situation for foster children. In Russia, up to 5,000 children are returned to the orphanage from foster families every year. After such an experience, it is difficult for a foster child to trust new foster parents, to accept their care and love. Children develop a sense of fear and mistrust, so it is difficult for them to find friends and study at school.

You helped 10 children from foster families to visit a psychologist, learn to trust their parents and the world!

About the campaign

Roma and other adopted children need the help of a psychologist to get closer to their adoptive parents.

Roma ended up in an orphanage at the age of 3. At the age of 5 he was adopted, but his adoptive parents could not cope with the workload and returned the child back to the orphanage. At the age of 6, Roma was taken into the family by new adoptive parents, and when faced with difficulties, they turned to the foundation for help.

Because of her experiences in the orphanage and her return from foster care, Roma refuses to make friends, build relationships with new foster parents, trust them and accept their care. Ahead, Roma will have to enter school, where he will face new difficulties: he will need to join the team, find friends, and learn many things at once.

To learn to trust adults, survive parental abandonment, life in an orphanage, and prepare for school, Roma needs classes with a psychologist.

There are other children in the foundation with similar problems. Let's help children cope with the consequences of the horror of returning to an orphanage and trust adults!
