Qair Sultanu is only four years old from Kazakhstan, but he already knows what pain, fear and loss of a loved one are. The boy was born with imperfect osteogenesis, a disease in which bones are so fragile that they can break at any moment. In his first year of life, Qair Sultan has suffered as many as fourteen fractures of both legs.
Unfortunately, trouble does not come alone. For two and a half years, the boy's father struggled with cancer, but he never managed to defeat the disease. Now Cairo Sultana's mother has to raise her son on her own and help him get stronger. In early 2020, Qair Sultanu operated on his left thigh and strengthened his fragile bone with a strong telescopic pin, which will grow with the boy.
Now he urgently needs a second expensive operation to install the telescopic pin. This operation will help the boy not to be afraid of fractures and give him a chance to finally get back on his feet and start living a full life.
