The Butterfly Children Foundation supports patients with a rare and incurable skin disease - epidermolysis bullosa. This is a genetic disease that affects the skin and mucous membranes, it causes complications on internal organs and systems - the musculoskeletal system, the gastrointestinal tract, the genitourinary system. Often the disease leads to aggressive skin cancer. All adult wards were born long before the founding of the foundation. Their parents had to cope with the disease, sometimes relying only on their own intuition. As a result, most adult patients developed complications that required constant monitoring and therapy. Adult “butterflies” from all over Russia undergo a comprehensive examination and receive the necessary treatment at the Federal State Budgetary Institution VTsERM named after. A.M.
