Thanks to you, orphans in the Sverdlovsk region received help from an occupational therapist

Orphaned children from one orphanage in the Sverdlovsk region need an occupational therapist. Such a specialist helps to acquire or develop still unformed functions and skills that are necessary for kids to perform actions that are significant to them. The method of "ergotherapy" helps to achieve the following short–term goals - to develop tactile sensitivity in children, sensory standards, to teach them to play independently, to introduce them to social skills. And the long–term goals are to develop maximum independence in the child's activities: to improve self-service skills and become more socially active. For someone, this may be the ability to fully dress themselves, serve, go to a team, and for someone, the great achievement will be the ability to simply hold a toothbrush or spoon, that is, to give the maximum that is available to a particular child. We work closely with this children's home, helping them in every possible way. But the training of their employee in the future could help about 200 orphans not to suffer from improper body position, secondary deformities, pneumonia due to improper feeding. The training itself will be funded by the Presidential Grants Fund. But unfortunately, the institution itself will not be able to fully cover the costs of transport and accommodation. Therefore, we ask you to support our collection for tickets and accommodation in St. Petersburg so that the doctor of the child's home can come to study!
