Ilya underwent a rehabilitation course

Ilya is 7 years old. He has shunt-dependent hydrocephalus and, as a consequence, cerebral palsy.

Immediately after his birth the boy became an orphan. But already at the age of one month he found new parents. They took the boy into the family, not suspecting about his illnesses. At the age of 3 months Ilya's head grew sharply because of excess fluid, and then a number of neurosurgical operations on the brain followed.

Ilya's foster parents, realising the importance of rehabilitation of a child with special developmental needs, are actively involved in his health. The boy undergoes regular rehabilitation courses in a specialised centre, which time after time bring positive results.

Ilya has poor control over his body, but he dreams of moving around independently! The next rehabilitation course will allow the boy to acquire and consolidate new motor skills!
