Lera was born with a combined heart defect. On the 13th day of her life, the baby underwent surgery, after which she recovered for a long time.
The girl spent 1.5 months in the intensive care unit. After discharge from the hospital Lera did not gain weight well, until 4 months she was fed through a feeding tube. She lagged behind in development: she started to hold her head up only by a year, later she sat up and started trying to stand up and walk.
Lerochka was under constant supervision of a cardiologist and a neurologist. From the age of 2 she began to study with a defectologist.
At the age of 3 she went to kindergarten. From the same age she started additional training with a speech therapist and a physical therapy instructor.
Rehabilitation helps a lot in Lerochka's development. She becomes more active and independent. The girl can already walk, talk and communicate with other children independently. However, Lerochka still has a long way to go in rehabilitation. She needs lessons with a speech therapist, a speech pathologist and a physical therapy instructor. She also needs massage courses.
We believe that Lerochka will cope with all the difficulties and grow up to be a happy child.
