The parents went to another hospital where the child underwent surgery. The parents did not apply to the fund for help in paying for the surgery at the other hospital. The money in the amount of 311,517 rubles was transferred to pay for the skull surgery for Dmitry Zmeikov. Little Dima faced a congenital disease in which the bones of the skull fuse too early. This threatened the boy with constant headaches, developmental delays and even loss of vision. Thanks to your support, funds were raised quickly before the disease became fully manifested. Most recently, Dima underwent a complex six-hour surgery to insert titanium plates that helped shape his skull to form the correct shape and give room for his growing brain. “While the surgery was underway, the hours seemed like an eternity. Thankfully, everything went well. Thank you so much for your help!” - says Elena, Dima's mom. Now Dima, together with his mom, has already returned home. He is smiling again, playing with his brother and even hooliganizing. Very soon the bandage and stitches will be removed, and in 5 months the boy will undergo another final surgical stage of treatment - removal of plates. “Thank you to everyone who helped us! - say the parents. - To know that your child's health is no longer threatened is a great happiness!”
