Sophia has cerebral palsy and will turn 3 years old in April. The girl needs regular rehabilitation to learn to walk and talk.
Sonya was born prematurely, at 34 weeks. The baby had to go through cardiac and respiratory arrest. The doctors fought for forty minutes for her life, and Sophia won, but the consequences remained - a two-week coma, a ventilator, and therefore, closer to the year, the baby was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Immediately after birth, the girl fell into the reliable hands of a neurologist, ophthalmologist and pediatrician. Thanks to the doctors, we were able to make a diagnosis on time and begin rehabilitation. Before the diagnosis, the baby did not feel her hands and did not understand what they were for; it was increasingly difficult for her to hold her head. At 8 months, rehabilitation began and at 1.5 years old, Sonya made an incredible breakthrough - she began crawling on her belly.
The baby's parents asked for help, because over time, Sophia, in addition to motor impairments, began to experience delayed mental and speech development. This means that Sonya needs more specialists, therefore, the cost of rehabilitation is increasing. Parents need financial support to pay for their daughter's classes.
Let's support Sophia!
