At the age of 5, Rodion was diagnosed with Bethlem's myopathy. This is a rare genetic disorder in which there is a limitation of passive movements in the joints and muscle weakness.
Now the boy is 8 years old. He is very smart, he studies in a regular school. Rodion loves to write fairy tales and read them to his family. He often plays chess and paints stunning paintings.
At the moment, the boy's main problems are contractures in the arms and legs, the joints on them do not bend or extend. Rodion urgently needs a special device for the lower limbs and torso, which will teach the boy to take an upright position and walk again.
Thanks to this, Rodion will be able to avoid even greater manifestations of contractures and problems with internal organs due to a constant sitting position. And then take the first independent step or move with support.
