“Abandoned kids in hospital” is the program which helps children who were found alone on the streets, removed from a dysfunctional family where parents had serious alcohol problems and some of them experienced violence etc.
Social services bring such children to the hospital. The kids spend most of their time alone in the wards cause there is no staff in the medical institution who takes care of them.
As a rule, the medical staff hardly communicates with kids - they simply have no time. No one explains to the child what will happen to him, how long he will be treated. The staff comes to him only to perform medical procedures or feed him. If the baby cries, no one consoles him. So our foundation provides such children trained 24-hours patronage nannies.
The nannies know everything about the development of the child and have experience to take care of seriously ill children and children in trouble. They stay with kids 24 hours for several days and even weeks. One nanny can take care of 2-3 kids at once, 10 children in a month and 50-80 kids in a year.
