Igor is four years old. His diagnosis is immunodeficiency, a diagnosis that means the child was born without natural defenses. He is completely unable to resist infections. At a routine checkup, a blood test showed low hemoglobin, then after a lengthy diagnosis, as early as 8 months old, doctors were able to make a diagnosis.
An urgent bone marrow transplant was required, and Igor's dad was chosen as the donor. The operation went well, but for the next 3 months the baby had a high fever every day, and unfortunately the donor bone marrow was rejected.
The second donor for Igor was his mom, six months after the first operation. It was only after another year in the hospital that Igor began to develop his own immunity.
Igor's nascent immunity needs constant support. It is impossible to stop the treatment of their son, so the family is asking for help. The boy needs the drug "Octagam" for vital indications.
