Aimana has continued her treatment

Aimana recently turned 2 years old. Before her illness, she was a very cheerful and active child. She has always liked animals and pictures of them on toys, puzzles and in cartoons. Aimana also likes to listen to children's songs. The girl’s familiar life was changed in October of 2023. At the time, Aimana was suffering from headaches, nausea and vomiting. She began to refuse to eat, became sluggish and sleepy. The girl's parents took her to the hospital, where she received a CT scan. The examination revealed that she had hydrocephalus and a brain tumor. First of all, Aimana underwent surgery to install a special shunt, that normalized the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid. Next, a surgical removal of the tumor and the installation of an Ommaya reservoir was performed. An Ommaya reservoir is a device that allows medication to be administered directly into the ventricles of the patient's brain. Furthermore, chemotherapy was prescribed. To stop the growth of the tumor, Aimana needs to continue the difficult treatment. The girl is going to have to undergo a new course of chemotherapy, which her family cannot afford.
