Samira came into the world with serious medical problems. When she was only two months old, she had her first operation to remove a drain. When she was five months old, she had to undergo a second operation. At the age of six months, Samira was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since her birth, Samira's parents have been working hard to rehabilitate her. Thanks to the hard work and support of specialists, Samira has learnt to eat independently and hold her head up confidently. Recently, thanks to your help, Samira was able to undergo an important medical examination and the necessary surgery - selective dorsal rhizotomy. This operation has significantly reduced the level of spasticity (muscle stiffness) characteristic of cerebral palsy. The girl also underwent a rehabilitation course.
