Christina is 17 years old and was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia in December 2023. The girl has a critically low platelet count in her blood, which made it possible to quickly diagnose her with thrombocytopenia. The diagnosis is dangerous and unpredictable because blood does not clot or stop. Therefore, any internal bleeding, such as from a large bruise, cannot be stopped without urgent hospitalization.
As soon as the doctors saw the results of the tests, the girl was urgently hospitalized in the Voronezh regional hospital, and there – in the oncohematology department.
Since February Christina has been undergoing constant treatment to increase the number of platelets in the blood: 2 weeks she is in the hospital, 2 weeks at home, and then – all over again.
In the hospital Christina is very much supported by her attending doctor – Julia Sergeevna, who can always cheer her up and make jokes. And support at such a moment is very important! The girl cannot stop treatment and urgently needs an expensive drug.
