Ania's story began with frequent headaches, to which, after a while, violations in coordination of movements were added, speech slowed down. It was possible to detect a tumor in the brain thanks to the results of magnetic resonance imaging. Ania was diagnosed with a classic medulloblastoma.
Six months later, in the summer of 2022, doctors from the N. N. Burdenko Neurosurgery Research Center in Moscow performed an operation to remove the tumor. The difficult treatment did not end there. It was important to undergo courses of proton therapy and supportive chemotherapy.
Ania is currently under dynamic observation and undergoing rehabilitation. Magnetic resonance imaging helps to monitor the state of health and keep the disease under control. Ania needs to be examined regularly. For this purpose, special, high-precision equipment is used, which, however, is not declared in the compulsory health insurance system. That is why we are asking you for help.
