Most of our elderly wards do not have such an ordinary thing as a washing machine. It is almost impossible to save up on your own for modern household appliances with one small pension. All that remains is to wash things by hand, which is physically difficult, or hand them over to the foundation’s volunteers at the laundry. But in some cases this solution is not suitable. Svetlana Vasilyevna suffers from hypertension and diabetes; after tedious washing in basins, she always felt bad, and each time the situation worsened. To maintain a normal level of hygiene for another ward, a large volume of laundry is constantly required, and using the laundry facility is inconvenient and difficult.
