Friends, thanks to your help, 70 elderly people and people with disabilities living in boarding homes and social institutions from the Omsk, Smolensk regions, the Udmurt Republic and the Republic of Crimea received glasses. The gratitude and feedback from those who have already received new glasses leaves no doubt that these small and mostly inexpensive accessories radically change people's lives for the better. An examination by an ophthalmologist, selection of suitable glasses, necessary measurements - for example, the distance between the pupils - all this allows you to be sure that the glasses will not cause harm. After all, buying glasses “by eye, I seem to see normally in them” can lead to overexertion, further loss of vision, headaches... And without glasses it’s like having no hands. You can’t read the instructions for the pills or recognize a friend from afar in the boarding school cafeteria. More than 70 times the picture of the world for some older people became brighter, clearer, and more voluminous. All this is thanks to you - and in the coming year, hundreds of our elders and people of different ages with disabilities will also hope for your support. Thank you for your help and hope!

Let's help grandparents get new glasses!

The glasses no longer fit, are broken or have been lost for a long time - and the grandmother or grandfather in the nursing home cannot buy new ones for themselves. Neither go to the doctor nor to the optician.

Few older people see well. Myopia in some, farsightedness in others, glaucoma and cataracts in others. Older people often don’t even go to the ophthalmologist, because there’s no point in writing a prescription if you can’t afford even the simplest frames and glasses.

The “Old Age in Joy” Foundation buys glasses for elderly people in the regions: the doctor conducts an examination, the patients choose the frames themselves, and after production, if necessary, the glasses are individually adjusted.

“I saw the world in a new way! And my head stopped hurting from eye strain!” – we hear after trying on glasses. For grandparents, glasses are an opportunity to recognize friends from afar, not be afraid of tripping, and read without difficulty. Many return to needlework.

For 70 elderly people, glasses from you will be proof that someone remembers about them, that someone needs them. Give clarity of vision!
