At the age of 11, the boy began to experience pain in his legs. Doctors conducted research and took tests, but the child’s condition only worsened. He lost weight and started having nosebleeds. At the age of 13, Shodmonjon was admitted to intensive care. Then doctors identified indications for liver transplantation. In May 2022, Shodmonjon received a liver transplant. The donor was the sister of the boy's father. Now the boy is 15 years old, his condition is satisfactory. For two years he has been observed at the Center for Transplantology and Artificial Organs named after Academician V.I. Shumakova. To clarify the diagnosis, doctors recommended conducting a genetic examination at the Medical Genetic Research Center named after Academician N.P. Bochkova. This examination is free of charge.
