Before her illness, her mother affectionately called Zuhra a «little hooligan» – the girl was incredibly active, mischievous and restless. But a year ago everything changed - there was a malfunction in the little girl's body. Intestinal infections, unbreakable fever for weeks, otitis media and pneumonia, weight loss - all this turned out to be a manifestation of a congenital immune disease.
Zuhra was diagnosed with primary immunodeficiency – a rare genetic breakdown of the immune system that makes the body completely defenseless against infections. «Our daughter's illness came as a shock to us. Her condition deteriorated so rapidly that the only option was to have a bone marrow transplant. It was scary, but we made up our minds,» Said's mom recalls.
Fortunately, the transplant was successful – the donor cells began to take root. Now it is important to prevent a rejection reaction and help the organism recover from the complicated and dangerous intervention.
For this purpose Zukhra is prescribed a course of expensive immunosuppressive drugs, which will prevent complications from developing. Dear tubers, please help us raise funds for life-saving medication for little Zuhra. Let her be herself again – a mischievous hooligan.
