Matvey is being raised in a children's home in the Sverdlovsk region. The boy has a congenital diagnosis, and he needs consultation and constant rehabilitation under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
There are seven departments in the institution where Matvey lives. 450 children under 4 years old go through them every year. Of these, 20-25 percent are disabled. And such children need the supervision of many specialists. But it is especially important not only to treat and control the main diagnosis, but also to prevent secondary complications. And ideally, to improve the skills of children with special needs.
Thanks to the "He needs you" foundation, an employee of the institution is trained as an occupational therapist for a year. This knowledge will help many children develop properly. And this means that their chances of finding a family will be much higher!
But additional expenses are required for travel from Yekaterinburg to St. Petersburg and accommodation for an employee during two training sessions.
