Amir went to Moscow for a check-up 💚

Amir is 10 years old and has undergone liver transplant surgery twice. The first was in 2015, the donor was Amira Guzel’s mother. “My son lived with this liver for 8 years, and suddenly in 2022 he was again diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and they said that he again needed a liver transplant. I was scared because the second operation means a 50/50 survival rate. They say that the second time there are many complications, which, in principle, is what happened with us.” For the second time, Amir’s older brother agreed to become a liver donor; he was 18 years old. In 2022, he weighed 125 kilograms, and he lost 42 kilograms especially for the operation. In October 2023, Amir again underwent liver transplant surgery. Now Amir is at home, everything is fine with him. He loves to sculpt from plasticine, but cannot go to hobby groups - he immediately starts to get sick. In July, Amir, his mother and older brother, who was a liver donor, will fly to Moscow for a follow-up examination at the Shumakov Center.
