Emiliya's story began when she was almost three years old. A lymph node became inflamed in the neck, which began to increase in size over time. A biopsy helped to establish the diagnosis. The material was sent to Georgia for research, the results of which turned out to be Hodgkin's lymphoma, a malignant disease of the lymphatic system.
Time after time, doctors tried to help Emiliya, prescribed treatment — mainly chemotherapy courses. She underwent them for several years: first in a clinic in Baku, then in Russia — in Rostov-on-Don. Therapy helped, but not for long. The disease returned again.
For further treatment, Emiliya and her mother flew to St. Petersburg to the R. M. Gorbacheva clinic. According to the attending physician, in order to clarify the diagnosis and choose the appropriate treatment tactics, Emiliya needs to undergo a special study — exome sequencing. However, it is not paid for by the state budget, it can only be carried out for a fee. That's why we are asking you for help.
