Artem is 10 years old. He has a rare disease – myofibroblastic tumor of the brain and spinal cord. The disease was discovered when he was 3 years old, when the boy began to limp suddenly. He was examined by a surgeon, then by a rheumatologist, but the cause of the limp was not found, but the problem did not go away – Artem stopped walking!
The boy was examined for a long time, and then Artem underwent surgery. After that Artem and his mother went for a long examination to the Rogachev Center, where doctors selected the dosage of the chemotherapeutic drug “Xalkori” for him. The reaction was extremely severe, but soon the dosage was set.
With each subsequent block of treatment Artyom got better and better. But despite this, the disease still takes away his priceless time – childhood. Because there are still many restrictions and prohibitions. And, of course, the treatment cannot be abandoned.
