Zhenya from Novomoskovsk will soon be 20 years old. This year she finished school and went to college to learn the profession of a photographer.
Zhenya has a rare muscle disease – LAMA2 merosinopathy. This means that the girl's muscles gradually weaken and it becomes increasingly difficult for her to move independently.
Zhenya has had muscle weakness since birth. Only at the age of 4 the girl learned to walk with support, but the disease gradually took its toll – now Zhenya can move around the house on her own legs with support, but to go outside she needs a stroller.
Despite the diagnosis, the girl leads an active life - draws, shoots videos for social networks, participates in intellectual games. Zhenya is also engaged in vocal training, which helps her not only to maintain the work of her lungs, but also to immerse herself in the world of songs of her favorite performers and feel herself as their heroine – light and free.
Zhenya received a manual stroller from the state – in it the girl can be outdoors more often, but only in the company of a companion.
We want to buy an electrically driven stroller for Zhenya, which the girl will be able to use independently. This will help Zhenya to feel more independent and to meet her friends more often.
