Lamia recently turned 7 years old and is the seventh child in a large family of eight children in total. Her older sister and older brother use wheelchairs due to disabilities. Another brother of Lamia has a complex diagnosis - mental retardation. Lamia herself suffers from an organic emotionally labile asthenic disorder. This pathology is little known to the public, but occurs quite often. It is caused by damage to the tissues of the central nervous system in the brain as a result of injury, infection, or intoxication.
All children regularly undergo treatment at the Center for Speech Pathology and Neurorehabilitation in Yoshkar-Ola. Thanks to this, they see noticeable improvements. Experts strongly recommend continuing systematic rehabilitation courses to achieve the best results.
Lamia's family turned to us for help in paying for her treatment and covering travel expenses. They have a long, long journey ahead of them. At the moment, the Yoshkar-Ola airport is not operating due to repair work; it is planned to open only at the end of November 2024, and the nearest city through which you can get to the desired location by air is Cheboksary.
We decided to open a fundraiser for Lamia. The girl will have to undergo the next rehabilitation course, which is scheduled for June 24, 2024. Let's help this wonderful family overcome all difficulties together!
