Polina is 11 years old, she is a friendly girl, does well at school, takes care of her brothers and helps at home with household chores. - Polina is very responsible, never quarrels with anyone, affectionate and kind, - says her grandmother about her. But in December 2023 Polina began to gain weight sharply, became sad and unsociable. The girl did not understand what was happening to her: she gained weight sharply from 45 to 70 kilograms. Numerous friends began to withdraw and call less and less often. As it later turned out, the cause of these changes was a malignant hormone-dependent tumor, which was found in the abdomen of the girl. In the spring of this year, Polya underwent surgery in the oncology department of the children's hospital. Histology showed a rare for childhood type of tumor, the doctors insisted on the need for a full genetic study. This is the only way to help Polina recover and return to a normal childhood life with friends and joys.
