Ivan Tikhonovich is 77 years old, more than ten of which he lives on the street. ‘It was so long ago that I forgot. There was a rift in the family. I went to the village, lived as a guest. Then I moved to St. Petersburg, began to live with the homeless together. I used to live in the attic, now I live in a shed, the janitors picked me up. Sometimes I help them throw sand. They take care of me,’ smiles the grandfather quietly. Ivan Tikhonovich suffered two heart attacks and a stroke, he began to suffer from shortness of breath, high blood pressure and heart pain. Last winter he went to the Charity Clinic for the first time. After examination and tests, the therapist prescribed treatment and gave him medication. Now grandfather is a regular patient of the Charity Clinic. He takes the medicines, which are given to him free of charge. And he feels better: breathing is easier, blood pressure is normal. On his 78th birthday, which is coming soon, he will definitely want to come to the clinic to say ‘thank you’ to all the staff for their help and kind attitude. The charity clinic helps people who have no roof over their heads, no documents, no citizenship to stay healthy.
