Ksyusha has congenital hearing loss and, like her older brother, was born deaf. Modern technology helped the children to hear the world - Xyusha was fitted with cochlear implants when she was two years old, and now they pick up sounds and transmit them directly to the girl's brain.
But the implants allow only to hear physiologically - neither to understand what is heard, nor to apply it, i.e. the child cannot learn to reproduce speech after hearing aids. For this purpose, he or she needs comprehensive help from specialists - speech therapist, speech pathologist, deaf pedagogue, neuropsychologist, physiotherapist.
Despite the delay in speech development Ksyusha is growing very sociable, she is attracted to children, doctors say that she and her brother have every chance to overcome their problems completely, and if the treatment is not delayed, even go to a regular school.
