Dasha from Chuvashia has cerebral palsy and related diseases; she is now in the palliative department of a Chuvash hospital. In the first days in the department, she was very scared and afraid of any touch, but now she greets her favorite nannies with a smile!
Dasha's days in the hospital are very varied: with nannies and other children, she listens to fairy tales, sings songs, and sculpts from plasticine. Dasha gets a lot of work and very soon she will be able to sit in a stroller and go out into the fresh air near the hospital and enjoy the flowering trees!
Children are admitted to the palliative department in serious condition when they can no longer be treated at home. However, children remain children - they need not only medical care, but also care, tenderness and attention. All this is given to them by nannies who work daily in the palliative care. Without them, the recovery process would be much more difficult and longer.
We are raising funds to employ four nannies in the palliative care unit for three months. Support our project so that Dasha and other children don’t feel lonely!
