It's Adam's birthday in mid-December, he's turning 8 years old. We have known Adam's family since 2016, when the boy came into the care of the Children's Hospice. Since then he has grown up, stretched a lot and changed in general.
Adam has a genetic syndrome, which has caused severe complications. Now the boy eats and takes medications with the help of a gastrostomy and lies on a medical bed most of the day. As before, Adam has regular visits from his pediatrician and a babysitter to help his mother run errands or get some rest.
Over the past two months, the boy's condition has worsened again. Adam barely coughs on his own, and his sputum stagnates. This is fraught with pneumonia and additional health problems. The doctor at Lighthouse Respiratory Services, after examining Adam, recommended a machine that clears his airway and a special vest for him.
The machine is called a coughing machine, or insufflator-aspirator. Its task is to mechanically repeat what the human body does when coughing. And the percussion vest, when worn and turned on, vibrates, thereby helping to expel accumulated sputum.
We are opening a collection for a coughing machine and the right size percussion vest. All together it costs 382,716 rubles. We would be grateful if you could help us raise this amount. Later Adam will have to go to another hospital in the Children's Hospice in-patient department: when the equipment arrives, we need to find the right parameters for it.
Friends, in the fall the users of the "Tuba" application helped Adam Jamalov. That's how the boy got a portable oxygen concentrator! Please support our new collection for Adam.
