9-year-old Ostap, a boy with cerebral palsy, spent an entire shift at the inclusive summer camp of the Yom-Yom children's center. For two weeks, Ostap spent time in a host environment accompanied by a personal assistant. The boy made new friends, spent his time interestingly and usefully.
“Our child received a lot! Delight from playing with children and general activities, from interesting communication with older children, from the general atmosphere of unity, cohesion and interest in everyone. At the same time, we were calm for the child, understanding that he was in good hands,” say the boy's parents.
Now the boy is doing well, the experience gained at the camp gave him the opportunity to understand that good and interesting things can be not only at home with parents. Ostap learned independence and social interaction.
Also, a consultation with an occupational therapist was paid for for Ostap with the help of the collection on Tooba.
The Yom-Yom team and Ostap's family thank everyone who helped!
Желаю от всего сердца чтобы Остап нашел друзей, хороших и добрых 🤲❤️
Здорово, что у Остапа появится компания и друзья! И старший друг-подросток
