Summer is coming to an end, and for us at Second Breath Foundation this is the time when we need to prepare as many schoolchildren as possible for the new school year. We collect things and give them to children from large families, poor families, orphans, children with disabilities and special needs.
In the coming month, more than 4,000 children and teenagers from 9 regions of the country will be able to receive school and sports uniforms and other necessary things for the school year. At this crucial time, we need to support the project and raise funds to partially pay for the sorting center and the work of the sorters who select the items and form the parcels.
In Russia, 13.4% of families with children cannot afford to buy new clothes. Our goal is to provide these families with at least one set of clothes, or better yet, to leave a spare set of clothes at the distribution centers. After all, children wear things out quickly and grow just as quickly, so families ask for new pants or shirts again.
The money saved on school uniforms can be used to buy a new backpack to replace a torn one or put it aside to buy something more expensive, such as a telephone or a computer shared by all children. And even more important is the psychological comfort of children. When a child transitions, for example, from junior high school to high school, beautiful and high-quality clothes give him confidence, help him to successfully enter a new stage of life and feel the joy of growing up.
