The future zoo psychologist of the shelter is already applying his knowledge — thanks to you!

Helping homeless animals find a home is a big mission, and every step along the way is important. We are launching a training camp for one of the employees of our shelter to become a zoopsychologist. And this is not just training, but an opportunity to improve the lives of hundreds of homeless animals and give them a chance to find a loving family. Having your own zoopsychologist on staff at the shelter will help solve behavioral problems that interfere with the adaptation and socialization of animals. This is especially important for those who come to us with a difficult fate — wild animals. The specialist will help each animal cope with stress, fears, aggression and other behavioral difficulties both in the shelter and in new families. In addition, it will be a constant support for future families, volunteers and staff of the shelter. Consultations on adaptation, training and communication with animals will become available to all participants, which will significantly increase the success of the placement of animals in new families. Today, our shelter has to pay for consultations with third-party zoopsychologists, but thanks to the training of our own specialist, we will be able to save significant amounts. These funds will be used for other important needs of the shelter: food, treatment, and improvement of living conditions for our wards.
