Julia is one of Perspektivy's first beneficiaries and has a severe disability. For many years she lived in psychoneurological boarding house No. 3, but she always dreamed of living at home. And in 2016 she decided to take a bold step: to leave the boarding house and live independently. The staff of our organization supported Julia and continues to help her with household, legal and medical issues.
Despite her health problems, Julia is cheerful, sociable and motivated. She has lovingly furnished her flat, made it wheelchair-friendly and very cosy, and often receives guests. She has four cheerful parrots and two small dogs, which she takes care of with sensitivity. Julia likes to attend cultural events and is fond of football. In her spare time she creates colorful ceramic figures and stained glass windows.
This story would be absolutely happy, if it were not for a serious disease – lymphedema, with which Julia has been fighting for many years. Now the disease has worsened, the treatment is not easy and long. To purchase medicines and pay for medical consultations, an amount is required that is beyond the reach of a person living on a disability pension. Friends, let's help Julia get back to her usual life!
