A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the charity fundraiser for the treatment of Julia, a ward of Perspektivy! Thanks to the donations, we were able to pay for her hospitalisation in St. Petersburg hospitals, medical consultations and medicines.
Now Julia has returned home and continues her treatment as an outpatient. Doctors are selecting supportive therapy for her, because against the background of treatment of the main disease the woman has kidney problems. The most important thing is that Julia's condition has stabilised and there are no sharp deteriorations. The hospice staff come to her home and make daily dressings, inflammation in her leg has decreased. Long hospitalisations, which lasted from June to October (almost 80 days in hospitals), proved to be a difficult ordeal. In her home and cosy flat, Julia is recovering her strength and feels better, at least morally. All this time, the specialists of Perspektivy accompanied and supported the ward (including taking the animals into care), as well as helped her to formalise her palliative status. Now Julia receives some of the necessary medical services at the polyclinic (visits to the therapist, tests at home).
