Sonya was born with severe diagnoses and had almost no chance of survival, but she defied the odds and found her true, adoptive mother, Irina, in April 2016. From her first days in the family, Sonya became like a biological child, and Irina has done everything possible to help her. Over the past eight years, Sonya has undergone numerous rehabilitations and consultations, and at home, Irina works with her daily.
Right now, Sonya is going through a challenging phase: her growth is putting more strain on her legs, and continued rehabilitation is essential. Sonya is passionate about dancing, programming, and helping at a dog shelter, and one of her films even won first place in an international competition. Sports remain the top priority in her life: she won 7 medals at the "ParaFest" and is currently preparing for the Russian Swimming Championship.
Due to her congenital condition, spina bifida, and the absence of part of her sacrum and coccyx, Sonya requires ongoing rehabilitation to strengthen her muscles and prevent her scoliosis from worsening. Unfortunately, Irina's financial resources are limited. All her free funds are spent on Sonya’s care, but it still isn't enough.
