Every week more than 50 people turn to the Penza animal shelter for help. As you understand, stray cats and dogs do not come here on their own, usually a concerned passerby, volunteer or handler is there for each of them. Each person and street tail is entered into the shelter's database, because the animal receives a unique subcutaneous chip with all the available information: where it was found, when it arrived at the shelter, what it was sick, when it was vaccinated and sterilized. As well as data about its rescuer or new owner are also entered into the general database of the fund, and then in case of repeated capture, treatment or loss of the pet, it is much easier to find it, as well as to identify it.
Shelter administrators and veterinarians keep their own personal databases: one contains all information about tests and examinations, another contains data about treatments and vaccinations, and the third contains information about who took the pet home and when, so that it is possible to keep in touch and learn about the condition of the former pet.
